HTT34 SIGHTED AT BANGALORE

Postby amartya_ghose » 29 May 10, 4:43 pm

I would like to report the sighting of a HTT34 at Bangalore. The aircraft has a serial no X23 5. I could not read the second last number.
It is situated as a gate guardian at the HAL Technical Training Institute , Bangalore. The aircraft's condition is not very good its wings are supported with two supports. But the IAF logo is clearly seen near the tail.

I am trying to get back with pictures. If any body has any knowledge about this aircraft please feel free to update.

It's the HAL Technical Training Academy on Suranjan Das Road . To locate the academy you have to take the service road parallel to the Suranjan Das Road . The HAL Technical Training Academy is after the HAL Management Academy.

As I have mentioned the serial number as X23_5., which is very similar to the HTT34 at Tambaram , can someone please confirm the continued existence of the HTT34 at Tambaram.

oh.. HAL.. i was reading it asIAF duh..

I think it is most likely a HPT32. even the old HTT34 that HAL had was converted back into a HPT..

Thanks for the report though - this makes it only the second HPT that is a public warbird out there.
