This discovery of a HAL Gnat (Ajeet) airframe on display next to a highway south east of Pune comes from Gp Capt S Sajan who happened to be ‘biking’ in the area. As first reported via this tweet:
Sunday rides are usually interesting. Sometimes they are exciting. 😁@warbirdsindia pic.twitter.com/wAT5hjtlhu

The aircraft is with an Aeronautical Engineering Institute – as seen in the board above – Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering. The aircraft is not in good shape. but is likely 80% complete by the looks of it.
Unfortunately, no identifying markings , numbers or partial numbers seem to be visible. Infact a typical data plate usually found in the canopy cannot be seen either.
Thanks to Gp Capt Sajan for the report!
