For those who missed the October 8th Indian Air Force Day celebrations, it was notable for the first flight of the Harvard HT291 and the Tigermoth HU512 together – forming part of the IAF Vintage flight. All the aircraft were being flown by Indian Test Pilots belonging to the ASTE.

The aircraft were displayed in a coordinated display performing crossovers, individual wing overs etc. High risk manuevers were understandably not performed with these priceless aircraft.

The Harvard performed throughout with a degree of flaps in down position, no doubt to allow it to match the slow speed of the Tigermoth.

The following is a photograph of both the aircraft by Wg Cdr J P Joshi on Flickr.
